Catherine Bailey : Managing Director/Producer

Catherine Bailey trained in technical theatre at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where she later served on the Council. After a successful career in stage management both in the West End and at the National Theatre she then became the Production Manager at Hampstead Theatre, a new writing theatre, where she stayed for six years before forming Catherine Bailey Limited. She produced Deborah Warner’s Footfalls by Samuel Beckett in London’s West End.

Her first documentary for Channel 4 won a First Time Broadcast Award. Several documentaries later she started producing radio drama for BBC Radio Three and Four and became the leading independent supplier of drama to BBC Radio winning five Sony Radio Academy Awards, including: The Gold (Laughter in the Dark by Nabakov); Silver (The Permanent Way by David Hare and Breakfast with Mugabe by Fraser Grace); Bronze (Sea Urchins, by Sharman Macdonald, Mortimer and the Millennium).

For television collaborating with the writer Georgia Pritchett she produced three series of the successful comedy for children, Barking! for cITV, Feel the Force, an original comedy series for BBC2 and three series of Life of Riley an original comedy series for BBC 1, and Quick Cuts a comedy series for BBC 4.

She produced David Cronenberg’s highly acclaimed movie, Spider, which won many international awards and was in Competition at Cannes. Since then she has been executive producer on Phil Cox’s award winning feature length documentaries; We Are The Indians and Betty They Say I’m Different. She also produced the short film Dust starring Alan Rickman and Jodie Whittaker and directed Rose Byrne in a sketch in Hollywood for Pypo Productions. She produces Podcasts, including Michael Frayn’s Clouds and Tony Kushner’s Slavs for Hampstead Theatre. And is currently directing and producing audio for BBC Radio 4.

Her book, Seventy-five Men (a Shipwreck) and Me is published by Austin Macauley and is an Audio Book read by Juliet Stevenson.

Georgia Pritchett: Company Director

Georgia is a multi-award-winning comedy and drama writer, who has seven Emmys, five Writers Guild awards, a Golden Globe, a BAFTA and a Producer’s Guild award. She was a writer and co-executive producer on HBO’s critically acclaimed show, Succession, and was the co-executive producer and writer on the HBO multi-Emmy winning show Veep. For Catherine Bailey Productions she wrote Quick Cuts starring Doon Makichan, Feel The Force and three series of Life of Riley – starring Caroline Quentin for the BBC.
